Mentorship
Strong roots and fruits are within reach
Children and adults in underserved communities are given the
opportunity to grow their own food through our educational and
mentorship programs. Children from the schools we serve are provided
with highly nutritious, organic seedlings to plant in their yards or
window boxes. Whatever space is available to them--that’s where their
plants will grow. Along with plants for starter gardens, children bring
home information on planting and care, nutrition, recipes, and ways to
learn more about home gardening. Interested families are then able to
contact ReTreeUs for more resources and advice on gardening methods.
